A friend sent me an article entitled, 10 Things You Don’t Know About Women. It was a really interesting read, and as far as she told me, it was pretty insightful. Most things I’m sure were accurate, like “1. Women are innately self-conscious…. On a bad day, I look in the mirror and see my ten-pound-heavier alter ego. Her name is Bertha.” I laughed on that one. Some I did not even understand, like “5. An eyelash curler, while mean and ferocious looking, is not a weapon.” – WTF haha? But for the most part, I believe it was a good read, especially the last one.

But I have been reading a lot of articles about women lately, and I’ve got an even greater respect for women. I’ve always respected women,but the things I’ve been learning just increase that respect. I wish I had saved the articles so I could link to them, but think about all the things that women do. In developing countries, the tie and sustain whole families, increases in their education levels benefit whole communities, they’re more dependable borrowers of micro-loans, etc. Generally, they can pay closer attention to things, they can handle more tasks at the same time, and they’ve got better verbal skills that lend them to being better communicators.

Sort of random, I know, but I think we should celebrate women more often.
